Caol Ila 17

Picked up a new bottle today, Caol Ila 17, unpeated malt. Looking forward to trying this natural cask strength (55.9%) when I'm back in TO.

Picked this up as it was recommended to me. What I like about this book is the whiskies are all relatively attainable. Nothing listed that's too costly or rare.

A Night at The Feathers Pub

Had a fantastic night at The Feathers Pub on Toronto's east side. This is a classic pub with great food, warm service and one hell of a whiskey selection.
In fact this place has whiskey that is hard to find or in some cases does not exist anywhere else. I will not get into all of the various whiskies I sampled but highlights were an Aberfeldy 21, a Royal Brackla 1975 Cask Strength which was stunning, and a Caol Ila 15 year signature edition. If you like whiskey give The Feathers a try, you will not be disappointed.

Macallan Estate

Picked this up in the USA @ duty free some months back. Excellent Macallan somewhat reminiscent of the 18 year. A new favourite in my collection.
